Department has well-maintained infrastructural facilities like teaching - research laboratories, Insect museum, etc. which strengthens the departmental activities. Department is equipped with a museum with well- preserved and maintained insect specimens ready reference for farmers, extension workers, visitors & students.

Major activities of the department:

1.   Undergraduate teaching.

2.   Extension activities in benefit of farmers, extension workers, and students.

3.  Training programmes based on the priority of regional pest problems as well as government / non-government projects.

4. The department is also offering JRF/ MCAER coaching to interested students
